  • Rev. Alex Beaube Senior pastor

    The Rev. Alex Beaube has served as senior pastor of Decatur First United Methodist Church since July 2021. He grew up in Gadsden, Alabama, and studied at the University of Montevallo, where he met his wife, Renee. They married in 1993 and have four children: Caleb, Amber, Olivia, and Alan.

    Alex entered ministry as a youth pastor and was licensed as a local pastor in 2000. He earned a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary in 2009 and was ordained a full elder in the UMC in 2011. Before coming to Decatur, he served churches across north Alabama, including Elkmont, East Gadsden and Blountsville.

  • Rev. Annie Deaderick Bush Pastor of Family Ministries

    Rev. Annie Deaderick Bush is the Pastor of Family Ministries at Decatur First UMC. She is a provisional Deacon in the United Methodist Church. Pastor Annie has nearly 10 years of experience with children and youth, from her UMC summer camp back home in Florida, to serving as the Children’s and Youth pastor at St. Paul UMC in Atlanta and at Valley UMC in Huntsville. 
          Annie is passionate about cultivating intentional spaces of belonging and shepherding children and youth as they begin their relationship with Jesus and helping them form a lifelong faith. She also loves to equip parents to practice faith as a family both at church and home.   Annie received a Master of Divinity from Emory’s Candler School of Theology in 2022 and served as the Pastor-In-Charge at Lakewood UMC from June 2022-December 2024.
    In her free time, Annie loves to garden. She is an avid cut-flower and vegetable grower. She also loves baking, yoga, cooking, and playing and listening to folk music. Annie and her husband, Taylor live in Huntsville with three cats, six chickens, and one tarantula. 


  • Kristin Green First grace CDC director

    Kristin Green is the Director of First Grace Child Development Center. She is from Decatur originally but now lives in Hillsboro. She graduated from Calhoun Community College with a Child Development Degree. She has been a childcare professional since 2011, She loves working with kids. She has two sons, roots for  Alabama (Roll Tide), and her favorite animal is a giraffe.

    Kimberly is the business and finance manager at DFUMC. She lives in Priceville with her husband Ethan and daughter, Ava. She loves  spending time with my family, cooking, reading, watching her daughter play softball, and twirling a baton.

    Josue Guzman is the Director of Worship at DFUMC. He began in Spring of 2025 at DFUMC.

    Mark is the My name is Mark Mullican. I'm married to Laura Kelly. I have 2 daughters: Kirsten and Kira. I have my own pressure-washing business. I have played guitar for 35 years. In my spare time my wife and I like to hike, eat, and explore small towns. I am at the church Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to Noon.
